加拿大聯合教會
加拿大聯合教會於1925年6月10日成立。分別由三個加拿大的宗派: 循道會, 公理會, 和三分之二的長老會聯合起來，成為加拿大最大的基督教宗派，直至今天。
除了關心屬靈操練和個人與上帝的關係之之外，聯合教會也關注社會公義, 人權，和平等這些課題。我們繼承聖經的教導, 指出不公義的事情如何在社會層面擴散, 和如何系統性地欺凌弱小群眾。
加拿大聯合教會倡議包容, 公義, 和對話，肯定三位一體的上帝，耶穌基督十字架的道理, 並邀請我們不離不棄地與上帝同行。
United Church Canada
The United Church of Canada was established on June 10, 1925. It was formed by three denominations: the Methodist Church, the Congregational Church, and 2/3 of the Presbyterian Church. We became the largest Protestant Canadian denomination; which is still true today.
Besides focusing on personal spiritual life and personal relationship with God, the United Church also has concerns about social justice, human rights, and equality. We take seriously the teachings of the Bible and point out how injustices spread, and how systemic discrimination occurs.
The United Church promotes inclusion, justice, and dialogue. We hold firm to the belief in a triune God, the Good News of Jesus and the message of the cross, and follow God with hearts and minds.
Our Pastor 我們的牧師
The Rev. Dr. Alan Lai 黎嘉燐牧師
黎嘉燐牧師出生於香港。1982來加拿大求學。1986大學畢業後隨即前往宣道會神學院接受神學訓練，3年後獲取道學碩士。1996年加入加拿大信義宗，並且按立成為牧師，曾經牧養華語及英語教會。1993年前往信義宗神學院進修，完成神學碩士。2000年時他前往美國紐約，在哥倫比亞大學和協同神學院合辦的課程進修，4年後獲教育學博士學位；他亦曾任教於溫哥華神學院及安大略省的滑鐵盧信義宗神學院。黎牧師在帶領台光聯合教會之前，他已是加拿大聯合教會旗下的一間神學院的院長。空餘時間黎牧師喜歡彈鋼琴及攝影。黎牧師與師母住在加拿大已經有40年之久，育有3個長大成人的子女。
Alan was born in Hong Kong and moved to Canada in 1982 for university. After earning a degree in 1986, he completed a Master of Divinity at Canadian Theological Seminary. He joined the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada in 1996 and earned a Master of Theology from Lutheran Seminary in 1997.
Alan later pursued a Doctor of Education at Columbia University and Union Theological Seminary, graduating in 2004. He has taught at various theological schools and served as Principal of a United Church theological school before joining Tai Kong United Church. Alan is an admitted United Church minister.
Alan enjoys playing the piano and photography. He and his wife, Fanly, have lived in Canada for over 40 years and have three grown children.
